In 2005, third-generation Grant County residents and business owners, brothers Gregg and Randy Ballinger, recognized the need for high-speed broadband in their largely rural central Indiana community. Gregg and Randy pooled their resources to buy equipment to put on the Upland water tower. Using wireless microwave technology, they brought high-speed broadband to their community. A short time later, they erected their first 160’ tower. This was the beginning of Eastern Indiana WIFI.
While over the years the company’s geographic coverage area has grown naturally, that growth has not been their main objective. Rather, their intent has always been to be the best that they can be for the areas they serve. Today they remain fully committed to bringing faster broadband to their coverage area as quickly as possible, along with providing first-class customer service. www.eiwfi.com
