Indianapolis route servers

FD-IX has deployed Bird route servers running FreeBSD on our Indianapolis fabric. These are geo redundant as well as hardware redundant.

We recommend multilateral participants establish a BGP session to each route server. The route servers do NOT peer with one another.

Default Route

A default route is not permitted via the route servers. The 206.53.139.0/24 space is for peering only. Certain approved entities are allowed to sell transit across the IX.
